I heard Mourning Doves cooing and opened the door to see two on the neighbor's antenna. It's a common perch location for many birds. One flew down to my feeder as I knew it would.
Mourning Doves are a symbol of hope, peace, and a variety of other symbolism's.  Our country, our world could use hope and peace, that is for certain.  (Incidentally I've seen a Coopers Hawk, a Kestrel, a Crow, a Raven, a Black Phoebe, a Hooded Oriole, and House Finches have their turn on this antenna perch).
