Yellow-crowned Bishop
Through other birding friends, I discovered this Yellow-crowned Bishop at the San Diego Creek in Irvine, Ca. It's a male. He has drawn a lot of attention. This species is a non-native bird from Africa. It's numbers were started from caged bird escapees/pets He has the sweetest peep and the most enjoyable personality to watch. In flight he is light and fluffy and buzzes around like a bumble bee. A stunning bird.
