Watercolor -Mailing Label

I painted on a sticker address label. Priority Mail. It helps get the mail there faster. The postman looks at it and smiles, then he is happy. So happy that he walks faster, nearly running. Yeah that's right!

Owlets On A Rooftop

These three Great Horned Owlet siblings were on a rooftop on a building in Huntington Beach, California April 2016.  It was so fantastic to watch them hop over to this corner.  They huddled, harassed each other, hopped around, yawned, closed their eyes with the sun on their faces and bobbed their heads around.  When I took this photograph they saw me through the window as I walked from one end of the large window to the other.  They were keen on me.

Earth Day

This week I had a watercolor painting lesson/session given by my mother. Watercolors breathe life into me and my paper.   This painting I made reminds me of a place off of Highway 76 in California. A highway that leads to the Anza Borrego desert. It's quite incredible to be among the green landscape and the next thing you know you are among the wildlife and wild flowers of a California desert.

My Cityscape Series #1
Watercolors are so forgiving. I'm experimenting with gardens, parks, and city foliage.  I was inspired by an artist by the name of V. Swift. She has a book of paintings of her garden and plants.

The Countryside

Green glass and green hues of my painting compliment each other, in addition to brass items. I love to collect colored glass objects and brass decor.

Rain All Weekend
