I collect many things from books, art, and dolls to blue glass, decorative boxes, and dishes.

You can see here some Ofelia Esparza, Orla Kiely, Jonathan Adler, Paper Source, a Walkers Shortbread tin, Vintage Botanical art books, a weenie dog pen, an Owl bookend, vintage distressed gold bird bookends, tiny vintage black leather books, Harajuku, mini cases from PaperSource, Mary Engelbreit bookends, a needlepoint tabby cat, a bird ceramic candle, fox ceramic candle, and baby ram butter dish form Anthorpoligie. So many things collected over the years.

On my magnetic billboard I have artwork by my mother Ofelia Esparza (Latina Arist from East Los Angeles), Jackie O magnets, Frida magnets, sticker poster art by Pacolli, and artist postcard by David Negron depicting a man selling balloons to children, reminds me of a Impressionist painting and an original art piece on a 3x5 sticker by an amazing artist in Arizona named WAR, i love his city scene and telephone pole.

I use prints from my original illustrations from ink, acrylic, and/or watercolors to create my character hanging ornaments. I embellish them with fine glitter for glitz and embellish the back with recycled or acid free papers and affix a hanger with ribbon and a decorative button. Signed. I celebrate the Day of the Dead. A tradition in my Mexican -American culture. My mother, Ofelia Esparza, is an Altar maker for this special time of year, November 1st and November 2nd. All Souls and All Saints day. The tradition has been handed down from her mother. It is a time of remembering those whom have left this land for another. The sorrow of their departure exists, however, the celebration of their life and what it meant to me is the joy of the tradition.

This original piece is currently on exhibit to January 2012 at Forest Lawn's art museum at their Glendale headquarters for the Adelante Art Exhibit, Latino Artists from the 1960's and Beyond. I am very fortunate to be included with many big name Latino artists who have paved a way for me. I am truly humbled.

I wear my favorite things every where I go. They are pinned to my soul. Peace, love, cake, tea and Señor Cotton Candy all cling to me.

I came across Jaxie Jax this past Valentine’s Day when Lady IMIX gave me the cutest little pin to that said ‘Don’t Hide Your Art‘ which I gave to the boyfriend – it was so simple, but defined a much deeper request. I’ve been in love ever since, scouring every inch of her blog, google searching and finally having the pleasure to connect with her via facebook (ADD HER!).
